Frozen Beef Shipping & Arrival Guide

What to expect before ordering frozen beef, and what to check when it arrives.

Delivery area and timing

Enter your full delivery address at checkout to see shipping options and prices for your order. If no suitable option appears, contact us before ordering. An available checkout rate does not by itself confirm that a destination is suitable for frozen-beef delivery.

Carrier transit time is separate from order preparation time. A service called “2nd Day Air” does not mean delivery two days after placing your order. Plan for someone to receive your package and put the beef into cold storage immediately.

UPS and calculated shipping rates

When a UPS calculated service is offered, its rate depends on shipment details such as weight, package dimensions, destination, and service speed. Review the service and final shipping charge at checkout before paying. This guide does not promise a flat rate, free shipping, or a guaranteed arrival date.

Packaging

Open the shipping carton promptly and check the condition of the inner packaging and each meat package. Do not judge food safety from the box or coolant alone; check the beef itself as described below.

Delivery checks and partially thawed beef

  1. Bring the package inside and open it immediately. Check each meat package for damage or leakage, look for ice crystals, and promptly check the beef with a food thermometer.
  2. If there is damage, leakage, or a thawing concern, photograph the outer carton and shipping label, inner packaging and coolant, affected meat packages, and thermometer reading as you unpack. Note the delivery time and opening time. Do not delay refrigerating or freezing safe food to take photos.
  3. Partially thawed does not automatically mean unsafe. USDA guidance allows food to be refrozen if it still contains ice crystals or is at 40°F or below, although quality may change. Refrigerate or freeze safe beef promptly.
  4. If beef arrives warm or above 40°F, do not eat or taste it. Contact us promptly. Never use taste to test safety, and do not rely on smell or appearance alone. If you suspect the beef was not properly chilled, do not consume it.
  5. Please take photos of your beef if there is a problem so you can file an insurance claim with the shipper.
